Hey Buzz Crew!

Was listening to the conversation about the New thunderbolt port on the new macbook pros.
There is a big chance that the iPad 2 and any future new ipods/iphones will support the new thunderbolt port which will definitely put apple in the lead.
I would also not be surprised if apple ditch USB completely for their mobile products which will put pressure on the other mobile companies to do so.
This would also pressure hardware companies to include thunderbolt onto their computers so that they are “”ipod/iphone/ipad compatible”".

Could apple do this with the ipad 2? They could also sell a 30$ USB>thunderbolt converter. You know that apple wants to!

This would obviously be terrible but if anybody has the guts to make a move like this, it’s Apple!

Love the Show,
Nick from France

Hi Buzz Crew,

RE: #1414

Here is my solution to children buying in app purchases in iOS. I let my children play with my gen1 iPod Touch with a broken wifi chip. If they cannot connect they cannot buy. You could also have the iOS device forget the wifi settings and be unable to connect to (hopefully password protected) wifi.

I listen to BOL in the van and the kids are usually with me so they also listen to it. Downside? My oldest Ethan (6) keeps telling me that he’ll get my iPhone 4 when I get the iPhone 5 (yeah right more like when I get the iPhone 8, it’s expensive) and my other son Carter (4) chants iPhone 5, iPhone 5, iPhone 5 over and over and over, etc (lord give me the strength). Thankfully my daughter Annika (2) just bobs her head to the music.

Love the show,

Grant the shipper in Montreal Quebec

ps. When are you guys coming to Montreal? It would give Molly a chance to practice her French. Spectaclefest North 2011 anyone?
