Buzz Out Loud 1367: Holding on by an aglet (podcast)

It's a shoestring-and-gum operation around here, and someone took our gum. But somehow, we've got another show for you today, and we're talking more Wikileaks Web warring (WWW3, perhaps?), Google activating 300,000 phones a day, and Apple's refusal to let you donate money via iPhone apps (and weirdly robotic response). --Molly

COMPUTER LOVE

If you are using craigslist for personals and happen to meet someone who isn’t a spambot, then what are some tips to make sure nothing shady is going on. For example, is my stuff (kidneys) going to get stolen or am I going to end up getting “charged” for services?
I would love some advice because I recently met a girl and had a nice first date, but I can’t help feeling paranoid.
Love the show.

@brian_tong how long do you wait to make your move after somone turned their facebook status to ‘single’? #computerlove

Hey Buzz crew,

My ex-girlfriend and my new girl are friends on face book. The new girl and I have been together for about 6 months but she just recently changed her status to reflect it. I don’t really play the face book game too much so I didn’t even realize until the ex text me the next morning with a “So I guess yall are official now…”. Why is face book status the be all end all of relationships in 2010? I felt like we were being pretty casual about dating, should I talk to her about it?

Love the show,

Jay
