Buzz Out Loud 1338: Avatar 2: The tree of money (podcast)

The New Nook Color makes its debut: is it half a loaf or a half-bottle of wine? It's a tortured set of analogies, but we hope you'll get the point. Plus, big news about the show's host lineup (welcome Brian Tong!), Spotify is in the news but still not in the U.S., and the white iPhone 4 officially reaches "annoying tech unicorn" status. Oh, and "Avatar" will never die. Ever. --Molly

Anonymous: mix tape fail

—–

Email (buzz@cnet.com)

I was soooo into giving the ladies mix tapes and I wanted to say that the iPod shuffle is my new “mix tape”.

I have bought about a dozen of them and given them loaded with sappy songs to girls. I even went as far as putting one in a ring box and got on my knees… Yeah she was so nervous and when she opened it to find a pink shuffle in it , she laughed like crazy and was butter…

PLUS after you give a shuffle to a girl, she always thinks about you every time they use it…. Sure it’s more expensive than a tape, but it only takes 15 minutes to load songs, really saving you the eternity it took to make a old mix tape.

love the show.

Hey buzz crew

Regarding the iOs security flaw discussed yesterday; I decided to try out the voice dialing feature of the phone, and low-and-behold, was able to use the voice commands even though the phone is locked and has a passcode. Seems a bit odd that anyone is able to take my locked phone and dial who ever they want just by speaking clearly

Steve must be getting worried with all these problems surfacing around the iPhone 4…..or iPhone Vista?
