In the Soviet Union oil leaks get nuked. That's not a Yakov Smirnoff joke, it's apparently history. So we discuss whether we should do that in the Gulf of Mexico. But Steve in the chat room points out it might summon Cthullu. We also discuss the impending release of Office 2010, and the appearance of a second lost Apple iPhone 4G prototype. Those people can't keep anything in the lab anymore can they?

Anonymous explains why Zynga will lose if they leave Facebook
Actually… Is there really anything that would prevent Zynga from withdrawing its apps from Facebook? Not really!
They already have farmville.com where you can log in (Using Facebook Connect) and play farmville without directly going to facebook! They could easily do this with all their other titles and shutdown the direct apps.facebook side while still maintaining the link to ones facebook account and thus all your pre-existing data!
You said that you’ve never heard of someone having that
email-guessing-thing happen to them. Here’s a reddit thread I happened
to find the other day about exactly this, which should be a reasonable
level of corroboration.
you gave a nice enough cover for the crazed money grubbers at EA, but you missed one little detail when you said that people who buy a game used have to pay for the servers they use. This is, I’m sorry to say, complete BS, as one would assume I bought a license for unlimited playing on their severs with the game, and now I no longer play, but someone else does, so it does not actually make a difference to EA.
