<b>USR modems and G3 Macs

For several weeks now, I have received a steady trickle of emails reporting that US Robotics modems do not work with G3 Macs. The cited culprit is the 'US Robotics Universal' modem script that ships with the G3.

The solution is to modify the script.various modifications were suggested (too many for me to report them all here). However, one user sent a modified script file that should work.

Using FreePPP instead of OT/PPP is another solution (since FreePPP does not depend on the modem script files).
