Business Objects hires Breya of BEA

Business intelligence software vendor Business Objects on Monday said that former BEA and Sun executive Marge Breya has been named the company's chief marketing officer and senior vice president.

Breya leaves BEA Systems where she served as the chief marketing officer at the Java server software company for the past two years. Previously, she worked for Sun Microsystems.

At BEA, Breya product line and marketing campaign. BEA saw a period of tumult two years ago where a number of high-level technology executives left.

In a statement, Breya said she intends to focus on accelerated Business Objects' growth.
