Bug when mounting two volumes from a server?

CNET staff
Clint Ragsdale describes an issue where a user may get unauthorized access to a volume mounted via a networked server

"If I mount two volumes from the same server in OS X (the volumes are served from a Sun E450 server via Helios Ethershare software), then log out and log in as another user, one of the volumes will still be mounted. The volume is still mounted using the name and password of the previous user, so the new user may have access to items which he or she wouldn't normally have permissions for. Furthermore, if the user tries to resolve the issue by dragging the volume to the Trash, OS X displays the following error message: "You need an administrator name and password to make changes in automount." The dialog box allows you to enter a user name and password, but will only dismount the volume if the account has admin privileges.

If only one volume is mounted from the server, it is always properly dismounted when the user logs out and another logs in."

Tim Rinkel and David Gorski have now confirmed this. However, David notes that the problem is "intermittent."
