L2 cache involved? I have added a couple of updates to the Blinking/Flashing Question Mark Startup Problems MacFixIt Reports. Most notably, there is a new item that suggests that an old utility called Timeout may help prevent some blinking question mark problems.

I received an unconfirmed report that Apple Tech Support told a user that the blinking question mark problem with the Power Mac 6500 was due to its L2 cache. This was unrelated to the L2 cache problem that affected System 7.5.5. However, this new report does not appear to be correct.
