TechTool Pro 1.0.7 update is released TechTool Pro 1.0.7 is now out. This is not an updater for TechTool Pro 2. It is simply a closing update for version 1. It has several bug fixes and is now fully compatible with HFS and Mac OS 8.1 (US and International).

TechTool Pro 2.0.2 problems? We are still getting occasional reports where, after TechTool Pro 2.0.2 reports an error and "repairs" it, the volume no longer mounts. Norton Disk Doctor and Disk First Aid cannot fix it. Reformatting is the only apparent cure. This does not seem a common occurrence, but is obviously one of concern.

Update: Several readers have confirmed this as a sporadic problem. Apparently, a 2.0.3 version of TechTool Pro is in beta testing and will hopefully fix this. In any case, you should still be able to recover files from the disk before reformatting.
