<b>SAM April Definitions Update and Word Macro viruses

The April 1997 Definition Update for SAM is out. Check out their Updates web page for more details. I don't routinely mention virus application updates on my page (I usually leave this to other sites that focus more on posting updates). However, Susan Lesch (of AOL), who sent me the announcement, mentioned that this update adds "detection and repair for two Excel macro and about a hundred and ten Word macro viruses." I was impressed. One hundred and ten new Word macro viruses this month alone!? What's going on exactly? Is this some sort of new growth industry?
