CNET staff

Earlier this week we noted that Microsoft Windows XP SP3 may introduce problems XP installations under Boot Camp. We've received reports of issues with beta developer builds, including an inability to boot. Apple has preempted these issues with the release of Boot Camp 2.1, which is required before installing Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3). The new release is also available in Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit.

Download links are as follows:

In order to apply these updates, first boot into Boot Camp then download and run the Windows executables.
