Macworld Expo on the move? MacInTouch is quoting a source that says next year's August Macworld Expo will be moved from Boston to New York. This is a move that has been anticipated for awhile. Among other reasons, I am sure it is because people have grown tired of shuttling between the World Trade Center and the Bayside Expo. In New York, it will all be in one building (presumably the Javits Center).

IAD and Control-click problem work-arounds: a follow-up Several readers reported the the Control-double-click technique, described last time as a means of work-around the problem with a Control-click that FileMaker Pro has when Apple's Internet Address Detector software is installed, also works with other applications that have this problem (such a Quark Xpress). Joseph Harpe claims that a Control-Option-click also worked.

PowerBook modem problems O'Grady's Power Page is reporting that "Global Village is working on a fix for 2400/Ethernet outbound IP bug (continual timeouts, unable to send SMTP or Lotus Notes email and sometimes can not get to certain web sites)." The USRobotics/MegaHertz/3Com Megahertz Ethernet Modem PC card may have some similar problems. A driver update is expected here as well.
