A reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has reportedly been disciplined for writing a blog.

The problem apparently isn't that the reporter was keeping a Web log. Rather, it's what he was writing about.

According to the Riverfront Times, an alternative weekly in St. Louis, management at the Post-Dispatch seized the computer hard drive of staff writer Daniel P. Finney and suspended him from reporting duties after an article about an online diary appeared in the weekly.

In his blog, Finney allegedly posted complaints about his bosses and his assignments.

While this has certainly been the year of the blog (at least according to Time magazine), blogging and the workplace don't always mix.
