If you happen to be in Albuquerque, N.M., on April 20, the good folks at DukeCityFix.com are offering you a chance to be part of history.

The blog site, which claims 14,000 monthly readers, is planning on staging what it says could be the first ever "blog-in" that day in the hopes of bringing a little '60s energy to the era of the wide-open blogosphere.

The idea began with the town's city council agreeing to provide free Wi-Fi in and around its chambers, said organizer Chantal Foster.

Next, during a contentious council debate about raising the city's minimum wage, the blog rallied a host of local bloggers to take part in the forthcoming event.

And on April 20, the organizers hope, Albuquerque city hall will be filled to the rafters with bloggers who've come to sound off online about the minimum wage battle.

All in the interest of getting the local community interested in its government, said Foster. A noble effort to be sure. The only question is: What will the Flickr tag be?
