Fed up of Qwerty sliders and touchscreens on your mobiles? Fear not, because RIM is coming to the rescue with a new clamshell phone, the BlackBerry Style 9670, videos of which have been posted on YouTube.

The phone's appearance is reminiscent of Motorola's Razr handsets, which were very popular during the days when the iPhone was just a little apple in Steve Jobs' eye.

From the videos, it looks like the 9670 will run on BlackBerry 6 OS. The videos show how you zoom in and what the home screen looks like, as well as the phone's external display.

The phone was leaked by Boy Genius Report back in April. It's expected to pack a full Qwerty keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 360x480-pixel internal display, a trackpad, a micro-USB port, and a microSD card slot. Its casing also sports a metallic finish.

There's still a market for people who don't want or need touchscreen technology. But, conversely, there are many options out there already if you want a clamshell phone like the 9670.

What do you think about the prospect of a clamshell BlackBerry? Will it find fans or fall flat on its mug? As usual, let us know in the comments section below.
