RIM's forthcoming BlackBerry Bold 9800 smart phone looks set to deliver a new kind of CrackBerry hit, packing both a touchscreen and a slide-out Qwerty keyboard.

Photos taken by China's Berry Times show the successor to the flagship BlackBerry Bold 9700 in all its glory. The site also claims the 9800's touchscreen won't be of the clickety SurePress variety we didn't think much of on the BlackBerry Storm 2.

The phone will run the upcoming BlackBerry OS 6.0, which gives the user interface a facelift and promises to deliver an improved browser. Other details are thin on the ground, including the release date, but you can head over to Berry Times to see more images.
