And in other news...

A book written and apparently autographed by W. Mark Felt--the former FBI deputy director who revealed himself this week as the undercover Watergate whistle-blower--is going for big bucks on eBay.

The seller claims she bought the book, "The FBI Pyramid, From the Inside," at FBI headquarters in 1981. A photograph of the book shows an inscription that reads: "With warmest regards W. Mark Felt." Above the signature is the date 10-1-81.

Bidding opened on Tuesday at $10. By Thursday just before noon PST, bids had hit $1,906.

Not to be outdone, another eBay seller is auctioning a piece of toast bearing Felt's visage--no surprise given the proliferation of newsmakers' images on bread these days. In March, a piece of toast with a facsimile of the Georgia runaway bride captured some serious dough on the auction site.
