<b>Icon file bug: the mystery deepens

Regarding the report last week of icon files mysteriously appearing in the Trash at restart, we have received numerous emails from readers on this matter and have done some further investigation on our own. The result is interesting but raises more new questions than it answers. Among other things, you may have these unexpected icon files (that is, ones not related to actual folder icons) on your disk even if they do not appear in the Trash.
