BeHierarchic 4.1 Apple menu bugs reported

Since the release of BeHierarchic 4.1 last week, we have received a small but steady stream of bug reports. Most of them focus on oddities with the Apple menu. For example:
Steve Solomon writes: "Since installing BeHierarchic 4.1, when I chose "About" some program from the Apple menu, very frequently my Mac will switch to Finder as the active application. The dialog box that should pop up for the application is either obscured behind other open applications or is incompletely drawn. If I disable Menu Blinking in the General Controls control panel, this problem almost always stops.

Mark Hoffman adds: "Since I upgraded, it seems that whenever I select something from the Apple menu, my click goes right through it. The item I selected (folder, file or application) will get selected, but whatever is under the mouse will also get clicked when I release the button. [Note: he had TSM Fix installed and it did not help.]

Tony Aguila also had problems with the Apple Menu: "The list comes down in a weird font or blank spaces, and the selection won't activate even if you have the cursor in the right position. One other symptom is the menu clock sometimes takes on the same 'weird' font that the Apple menu items show. Turning off BeHierarchic (4.1) is the only way I've found to avoid the problem."

Another reader writes: "I upgraded to BeHierarchic 4.1 and immediately noticed that after going out 3 or 4 levels and then selecting a folder or file, part of the third level menu would remain on the desktop as an artifact. Overlaying a window would remove it."

Two readers (Steven Mattson and Joshua Rafofsky) described the same conflict between BeHierarchic and FAXstf: The FaxMenu will not work if it is selected from the Apple menu.
