Thinking of treating your ears this Christmas, or the ears of your nearest and dearest? Tesco is offering £40 off its higher-priced headphones, including up to 30 per cent off Beats by Dr Dre headphones.

Ordering from Tesco Direct saves you £40 when you spend £100 or more on headphones. The offer runs until 24 December.

Beats by Dre, Monster, and Skullcandy headphones are all included in the offer, so -- while it may not be one for the audiophiles among you -- it's a decent chunk of change off a pair for someone who favours fun 'phones that will make them the envy of their classmates.

A pair of Beats by Dre Solo HD headphones or some Monster N-Tune Candy cans cost just £90 with the discount, down from the usual £130 price  -- a whopping 30 per cent saving.

Meanwhile the highest-priced 'phones from Tesco are the Beats by Dre Studio 2.0 noise-cancelling cans, usually priced at £269. £40 off represents a saving of 15 per cent, a drop that Dre would be proud of.
