<b>AppleShare IP 5.0.2 and AppleShare Client 3.7.2

Last time, we noted the release of AppleShare IP 5.0.2 Update. Todd Bangerter points out that it "contains an OT 1.2.1 patch. However, as stated in the Read Me file, this patch 'is intended only for use with AppleShare IP 5.0.2 servers and with the U.S. version of MacOS 8.' Also, it contains the AppleShare Client 3.7.2. According to the Read Me, 'AppleShare Client 3.7.2 Software is appropriate for computers running system software version 7.5.3 or later."'

Apple has a TIL file on the OT 1.2.1 patch. To verify that the Update installed properly, check out yet another TIL file.

The AppleShare Client 3.7.2 is now available as a separate download.

We had previously reported that the new Client would fix certain "jumping" display problems associated with viewing files from NT servers via Mac OS 8. The jury may still be out on this. Martin Forrester claims that the new Client did not fix this problem for him.
