Ballmer: It all depends on the meaning of "lunch"
If you love seeing big shots squirming in front of millions of people, an early Friday afternoon CNBC interview with Microsoft chief Steve Ballmer was just your cup of tea.
Minutes before heading to a press conference to report on the status of MicrosoftÂ’s joint development work with Sun Microsystems, Ballmer was asked by anchor Bill Griffith to comment on a recent meeting in New York with Red Hat CEO Matthew Szulik originally reported by News.com.
We never had lunch, Ballmer said, breaking into a giggle. When Griffith persisted, Ballmer promptly changed the subject. "We're here to talk about the great stuff with Sun... ."
OK, what about breakfast, dinner or was it a kaffeeklatsch over a couple of donuts? Talk about non-denial denials.
