Adobe PS Printer 8.5: Now you see it, now you don't

We previously noted the release of Adobe's PS Printer 8.5 for Macintosh. However, it was only available with the purchase of FrameMaker 5.5. Michael Lafferty has now spotted an Adobe web page describing this new driver. The page implies that the driver is available for download but, when I tried to get it, I still wound up only finding links to 8.3.1. I am currently investigating.

[Adobe's PS Printer drivers are very similar to Apple's LaserWriter drivers. However, Apple's drivers occasionally have bugs that are not found in the Adobe drivers. This is the main reason for the interest in the Adobe version. The Adobe driver also has a "virtual printer" feature not found in the Apple drivers.]
