<b>Adobe PS Printer 8.5 driver: available soon from Adobe; available now from HP

Regarding the Adobe PS Printer 8.5 driver, currently MIA from the Adobe web page that describes it (as mentioned last time), Adobe's Web Team told Scott Ogren: "Sorry for the inconvenience. It will be available soon, in the next week."

Meanwhile, Tom Kennedy pointed out that the Adobe PS 8.5.1 PostScript 3 driver is already available on the Web via HP. It's part of the 10Mb download of HP's DesignJet 2500CP PS3 software.

Tom additionally writes (related to the item posted above): "I loaded the Adobe driver over the Apple 8.5.1 driver. It replaced the the PrintingLib file. Although they had the same version number, the Adobe file was 750K vs 1Mb for Apple." Oddly, after installing the HP driver, Tom could not get the Apple driver to work with the HP printer. Reinstalling the Apple printing software solved the problem.
