ATM Deluxe 4.6 and ATR Deluxe 2.6 are out; ATM font check follow-up

Adobe Type Manager Deluxe 4.6 is now available. (Thanks, Michael Wosnitzka.) Adobe Type Reunion Deluxe 2.6 update is also out. [Note: These are two large, greater than 20MB, files!] ATM font check: a follow-up Regarding yesterday's comment about the ATM Light message stating: "Your computer did not shutdown properly. ATM is examining the fonts database and will make such repairs as necessary," D. Bruce Stevens replies: "ATM actually checked the fonts in the last release but gave no message as to what it was doing. With a lot of fonts installed, this checking procedure accounted for two noticeable things after a startup. One was a long stall just after startup in which you had mouse movement but no action (though they were buffered and any clicks would actually happen after ATM was done), and second, disk activity that was hard to explain. So this message was added to explain that." Related to this, ATM Deluxe used to include a Settings option called "Ask before resolving font ID conflicts." This is now gone. Adobe removed it "for consistency with the Finder, which resolves font ID conflicts silently."
