The AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge as well as the Galaxy Note 4 are both getting updates to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Better late than never? AT&T is finally updating two of Samsung's flagship phones from 2014 to a more recent Android version following similar rollouts by Verizon and T-Mobile earlier this year.

The Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge began receiving the update from the carrier on Thursday, which also includes support for the carrier's video calling, Advanced Messaging and Wi-Fi calling services.

While these phones are only now seeing Android Marshmallow 6.0, later phones made by Samsung that already have Android 6.0 are instead looking forward to an evenutal update to Android 7.0 Nougat, such as the Galaxy Note 7.
