AT&T to offer LG G Flex for preorder on January 24
Preorders will begin a week before the handset goes on sale at rival wireless carrier Sprint.
AT&T announced Monday that the LG G Flex will be available for preorder starting January 24, a week before the curved and flexible handset goes on sale at Sprint stores.
Customers will be able to purchase the G Flex for $299.99 with a two-year service contract, or make monthly payments on 12- or 18-month financing plans. However, AT&T did not indicate when buyers could expect delivery.
Sprint became the first US wireless carrier to reveal a launch date for LG's curved smartphone last week when it announced that the handset would go on sale at the same price on January 31. T-Mobile also has announced plans to carry the G Flex.
The G Flex features a bendable, curved 6-inch HD display that cuts down on glare, providing a more "cinematic" viewing experience. Also noteworthy, the back panel of the phone is able to heal itself from scratches and scuffs.
Powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the handset boasts a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 3,500mAh battery.
