AT&T offers free Wi-Fi to some broadband customers

Citing the proliferation of Wi-Fi devices including the iPhone, AT&T has announced that customers with higher speed broadband plans can now receive free access to AT&T's nationwide Wi-Fi network comprised of nearly 10,000 hot spots.

Effective immediately, qualifying new and existing residential and small business AT&T broadband customers will have access to the WI-FI network. Qualifying customers include those subscribing to AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Pro, AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet Elite, FastAccess Xtreme and FastAccess Xtreme 6.0.
