If you own a Motorola Moto X handset on AT&T and have been eagerly waiting for the phone maker's new software package to hit your device, today is your lucky day. The carrier confirmed that it now offers this fresh patch, which improves camera performance and enhanced touchless control.

The update in question first made an appearance on T-Mobile-compatible models of the Moto X. After that it found its way to Sprint versions of the Motorola flagship. Billed by Motorola to provide significant improvements to color accuracy and white balance for the Moto X's imaging system, you can bet many users will welcome the news.

The infusion of revamped code is also designed to speed up training for the Moto X's Touchless Control voice command feature, which ties in directly into the Google Now voice search technology. If you have a Verizon-branded Moto X, though, you'll have to sit tight. It's not clear when the phone on Big Red will receive a similar software influx. Let's hope you don't have to wait too long.
