AT&T may deliver another Atrix 4G

If a handful of new images are to be believed, then Motorola and AT&T are readying a refreshed Atrix 4G.

The pictures, which initially surfaced on a Chinese tech forum, appear to show a slightly modified version of the smartphone. A quick glance at the overall design and we're reminded of the redesigned Droid Bionic, which should land at Verizon stores any day now.

The most noticeable changes are an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p HD video, a repositioned power button, and a redesigned earpiece. What's more, AndroidAndMe did some digging through Picasa and pieced together details that point to a dual-core Snapdragon processor.

By comparison, the original Atrix 4G featured a 5-megapixel camera that recorded video at 720p resolution and a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset. The Atrix 4G earned high marks in its CNET review, losing points for its video camera and data speeds.

It's quite possible that the MB865 handset will also see support for AT&T's new HSPA+ network. And considering that Motorola refreshed its Verizon Droid family every six to eight months with the Droid X, Droid X2, and Droid 3, it stands to reason that it will do the same for AT&T.
