Just in case you felt a bit unloved by your wireless carrier, AT&T wants to let you know it cares.

AT&T on Thursday launched a new rewards program for customers, called AT&T Thanks. The goal is to make existing customers (post-paid wireless customers, "in good standing," mind you) a little happier this summer.

Basically, right now, AT&T Thanks amounts to buy-one-get-one movie tickets on Tuesdays, starting June 30. You can buy one movie ticket ("at select theaters") and get another ticket for equal or lesser value for free.

But to get the ticket, you need to receive a coupon code by text message. The fine print gets a little confusing: "Customer must complete online validation process to receive coupon code for use on redemption website to purchase tickets."

Other perks include priority presale access to concert tickets, some sort of not clearly explained movie offers for DirecTV customers and additional undisclosed "surprises."

TLDR: 2-for-1 movie tickets every Tuesday this summer if you're an on-contract AT&T customer who isn't using Cricket or GoPhone. Just be prepared to do a bit of paper work.

(I'd prefer a lower monthly bill.)
