AppleShare IP install problems: a follow-up Last time, we reported problems with installing the AppleShare IP 6.1 Update. The GraphicPower Web site has posted additional information and user experiences on this matter.

DropConverter work-around Regarding our report last time on StuffIt Deluxe 5.0.1, a reader notes: "Although it's true that DropConverter is not included with the StuffIt Deluxe 5.0.1, the application itself will convert earlier (pre- 5.0) archives on the fly. All you have to do is just Drag and Drop the older archives on to the Application Menu with Stuffit active and - voilà! - up comes a dialogue box and the message: 'Do you want to convert this earlier version of <foobar.sit> to the newer version, etc.?'"

MacPac duplicate record work-around Last time, we reported that if you sync your Pilot between both a Mac and a PC, duplicate records can result. John Huey has a potential work-around: Configure the "Address conduit" on one platform so that the Pilot overwrites the Desktop. You won't be able to enter address/contact changes on that computer but everything else seems to work fine. . . so far."
