The Super Bowl--that grand pageant of modern day Americana and seven layer dip--won't take place for two more days, but a computer simulation at Electronic Arts says the Indianapolis Colts will win.

The game company pitted the Chicago Bears and the Colts against each other in a game of Madden NFL '07 and then let the computers run the game via artificial intelligence. The Colts won 38 to 27, according to a story in EE Times. No word, however, on if Prince had a wardrobe malfunction.

The virtual game draws on rosters, stats and other information. It has had mixed results in the past. Last year, it picked the Seattle Seahawks over the Pittsburgh Steelers 34 to 7. Pittsburgh won 21 to 10.

But in 2005, it did correctly pick New England over the Philadelphia Eagles, albeit by a much wider spread than what occurred in reality.

On other big game notes, retailer Crutchfield says that are up in both Indiana and Illinois. Will beer sales follow suit?
