Ariba beefs up e-commerce network

Business-to-business software maker Ariba on Tuesday announced enhancements to the Ariba Commerce Services Network, which is designed to enable buyers and suppliers to create and maintain relationships, move business transactions online and conduct business with trading partners over the Web. Launched in March 1999, Ariba CSN has been enhanced to include multiple-language and localization functions to meet the needs of global markets and address many of the inefficiencies in international trade. Ariba CSN supports Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, French Canadian, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish; enhanced transaction services; and an automated supplier invitation process intended to help marketplaces build user participation.
