AppleWorks windows problems: a fix for one symptom?

Richard Little confirms that he too has had the symptom where AppleWorks 6.2 opens new documents in the smallest window size (see previous item). He found postings on Apple's Discussion Board that said this was caused by having the Dock pinned to the side of the screen. He adds: "When I moved the Dock back to the bottom of the screen the problem was indeed fixed. However, it didn't solve the problem of having the Find/Change window be barely visible."

Update: A reader replies: "I've had the squished window problem repeatedly in AW 6.2. DockLock does not seem to be the problem. Uninstall/reinstall didn't fix it. Quick work-around on tiling: Open another view on the squished window; resize; close the original."
