AppleWorks and GlobalFax fix
After updating from AppleWorks 6.0.4 to 6.1.2, a reader could no longer select to fax - rather than print - a document via the trick of holding down the Option key when selecting the File menu. The fax choice appeared but, when it was selected, it did nothing. The solution turned out to be:
Open the Chooser, choose GlobalFax, and select the Shortcut button. When the Shortcut window opens, change the selected shortcut from the Option to the Command button. After closing the shortcut window, select your printer in the Chooser. Then, when you want to send a fax from AppleWorks, use the Command button to bring up the fax command in the File menu.
