AppleWorks 6.0.3: positive feedback continues; Documents to Go and AppleWorks 6 don't mix

AppleWorks 6.0.3 positive feedback continues The AppleWorks 6.0.3 QuickTopic continues to accumulate new postings, most of them quite positive (quite the reverse of what greeted the initial 6.0 release). Here's one example: "6.0.3 is great. Stable, fast, no problems. 9.0.4 on a 604e Power Center Pro 210. I am starting to consider getting rid of Office 98 in favor of AppleWorks. AW6 is just more elegant." Documents to Go and AppleWorks 6 don't mix Dataviz's Documents to Go transfers files from a Mac to any Palm or Visor, including ClarisWorks and AppleWorks spreadsheets. However, according to one MacFixIt reader, any Documents to Go user considering moving up to AppleWorks 6 should reconsider. First, Documents to Go doesn't yet support AppleWorks 6 spreadsheets. A Tech Support email yesterday from Dataviz said, "I don't know when AppleWorks 6 will be supported." And although Docs to Go supports AppleWorks 5 spreadsheets, if you save a version 6 spreadsheet in version 5 format, Documents to Go gives an error. Tech support wrote, "If you try to save the file out as an earlier version such as 5, it probably will not work. You would have to actually be using that version of AppleWorks."
