AppleVision 850 popping sound problem: a follow-up

Some AppleVision 850 and 850AV Displays manufactured before July 11 (serial numbers WR727xxxxx or lower) have been known to arc, resulting in a popping sound (as mentioned here before) and possibly causing the screen to appear out of focus. Apple now confirms that this is due to a minor hardware problem (improperly secured wires) that can be fixed by an Apple Service Provider.
