Apple continues to finesse its Touch ID fingerprint scanner, along with other features, in a minor update to its mobile operating system on Tuesday.

The iOS 7.1.1 update is the iPhone maker's first since it released iOS 7.1 last month. The update includes improvements, bug fixes, and security updates.

A good portion of the update focuses on the Touch ID fingerprint recognition feature and works to improve it. According to Ars Technica, the update is meant to sort out issues with inaccurate or "faded" sensors. Apple tackled this same goal with its iOS 7.1 release.

The update also repairs an issue that users have when using Bluetooth keyboards with voice over enabled and fixes a bug that could impact iPhone and iPad keyboard responsiveness.

The iOS 7.1.1 update applies to the iPhone 4 and all later versions of the smartphone, along with the iPad 2, iPad Air, both Retina iPads and iPad Minis, and the fifth-generation iPod Touch.
