Apple touts 'iPad ready' sites
In anticipation of the launch of its tablet on Saturday, the company starts listing Web sites optimized and enhanced for compatibility with the iPad's features.
Amid heightened anticipation for the launch of its iPad tablet device on Saturday, Apple on Thursday made available numerous listing Web sites that have been optimized and enhanced for compatibility with the iPad's features.and began
The sites of the following organizations are listed as iPad-ready thus far: CNN, Reuters, The New York Times, Vimeo, Time, Major League Baseball, The White House, Virgin America, Sports Illustrated, Flickr, People, and TED. You can expect that list to grow quickly, as at the bottom of the page, Apple has included a "Submit your site" link.
Various site features at Apple's own MobileMe service have also been updated for the iPad. The "Find my iPad" and "Remote wipe" features for managing lost iPads has been implemented, and there is no doubt that with Apple's iWork productivity suite in the iPad, we will see additional support features make their way to the service.
