Apple reports iTunes services disruption
The App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store temporarily disappear for some users.
Apple reported an outage for some of its iTunes-related services on Wednesday.
The outage, which Apple says affects "some users," began at roughly 8:20 a.m. PT and ended about two hours later.
"Users may have been unable to make purchases from the App Store, iTunes Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore," Apple said on its status page. "Users may also have been unable to download previously purchased content, use iTunes Match, or successfully restore Apps and Music from an iCloud backup."
Apple's iTunes services have experienced occasional downtimes this year, something that's become increasingly problematic as Apple more deeply integrates those services into its portable and desktop gadgets. One of the last outages came near the end of June and affected some 20 percent of users from making purchases through iTunes. It came alongside a separate outage for Apple's iCloud.
