To mark the one-year anniversary of Steve Jobs' death, Apple replaced its home page today with a tribute video to its co-founder and a letter from CEO Tim Cook.
The 1-minute, 45-second video on Apple.com features black-and-white still images and quotes from Jobs.
"It's in Apple's DNA that technology alone is not enough -- it's technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the result that makes our heart sing and nowhere is that more true than in these post-PC devices," Jobs' voice can be heard saying on the video, a quote taken from the iPad 2 launch in March 2011.
The video highlights some of the company's greatest inventions, overseen by Jobs, such as the iMac, the iPod, and the iPhone.

The letter from Cook, who replaced Jobs as chief executive after, wrote in his tribute letter:
Steve's passing one year ago today was a sad and difficult time for all of us. I hope that today everyone will reflect on his extraordinary life and the many ways he made the world a better place.
One of the greatest gifts Steve gave to the world is Apple. No company has ever inspired such creativity or set such high standards for itself. Our values originated from Steve and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple. We share the same privilege and responsibility of carrying his legacy into the future.
I'm incredibly proud of the work we are doing, delivering products that our customers love and dreaming up new ones that will delight them down the road.

Mayor Mark Santoro of Cupertino, home to Apple, has ordered the flag at the city's civic center to be flown at half-staff today to remember Jobs.
