Apple has updated the shipping estimate for its new flagship iPhone, the 5S, telling customers it will ship in 2-3 weeks.

This is a change from the last few weeks, when the company vaguely said on its online retail store that the phones would ship in "October." Some customers have also gotten shipping quotes that say they'll get their phones in mid-November.

The 5S has been in high demand since it was released last month, with shipping estimates for the gold option falling to October within the first half hour of sales. The 5C, which came out on the same day, has been more available, shipping next day when ordered from the site.

We've reached out to Apple for comment, and will update this post if we hear back.
