Apple Modem Updater: What's new?

Last time, we noted that the just released Apple Modem Updater 1.3.5 appears to have the same firmware and software as previous Apple modem updates. A reader found at least two differences relative to Updater 1.2.1:

Updater 1.3.5 has two new modem scripts for the PowerBook G3 Series ("PowerBook G3 Int56K (v.34 Only)" and "PowerBook G3 Internal 56K", respectively) that are at version 1.2, rather than the old updater's version 1.0. [Sherman Wilcox adds: "They now report proper v.90 connection speeds for the internal modem."]

It now includes the PowerBook G3 Series Modem extension. Previously, Modem Updater 1.2.1 and G3 Series Modem Extension 1.0.2 were two separate packages.

Note: As is common with firmware upgrades, Apple notes: "Do not cancel the installation process once you start the modem update process. Canceling the upgrade process will damage the modem."
