Scrollbars go missing in Aperture -- an easy, temporary fix is available until Apple patches this bug.

Users continue to report an issue where scrollbars for changing placement in images sometimes go missing in Aperture. In some cases, simply resizing the window causes the scrollbars to reappear.

MacFixIt reader Brian Weber writes:

"I'm consistently seeing the missing scrollbar issue on my system and have yet to find a solution other than resizing the window. I've also received reports from several of my clients with the same problem on various Macs from G5's to Intel Macs running OS 10.4.8 or 10.4.9. Booting into Safe Mode does not solve the problem, either. I've also reported the issue to Apple using the Aperture feedback mechanism. While the issue doesn't prevent usage of Aperture, it is certainly an annoying glitch that needs Apple's attention."

This problem sometimes manifests when switching between projects to another. Changing thumbnail size is a kludgy temporary fix.
