Andrew's Christmas cravings: Large TV, games console...

I don't want a lot for Christmas. All I'm asking for is a massive TV, a Media Center PC, a Nintendo Wii, a few mobile phones...

If I could call up Father Christmas and tell him my personal Christmas wishlist, I'd have ask for a Panasonic Viera TH42PX600 42-inch plasma; a Sony Vaio VGX-XL202 Media Center PC; a Nintendo Wii; a Sling Media Slingbox; a few Sony Ericsson W950is on 3's X-Series flat-rate data tariff for myself and my mates; and a La-z-boy Cool Chair. Call me a grandad, but the idea of sitting down, playing with my Wii reclined in a chair that can store my beer and give me a massage, is my idea of a good time.

The Panasonic 42-inch plasma is perfect for watching Blu-ray movies on, playing them through the Sony Media Center PC. The Nintendo Wii is probably the best fun you can legally have indoors, and the Slingbox and W950is are to show my console skills off to my mates -- they'd be watching me play over 3's X-Series Gold package, which lets you watch a TV on your mobile phone via a Slingbox.

I know that some people might opt for more lavish things, but I'm a simple man with simple needs -- five grand's not a lot to ask for, is it? Give me a large TV, movies, games, a comfortable chair and some beer and I'll be content for years to come. Of course, it's not all about the taking, there's also some giving involved -- if there's one cute gadget that I'll be giving as a present this year, it's the TMX Elmo. -Andrew Lim
