Steve Jobs issued a memo to Apple employees describing some new cost-cutting measures (such as eliminating sabbaticals). An unknown worker sent another memo with Steve Jobs name attached - "humorously" suggesting further cutbacks (no more sick time). Steve was not amused and in yet another apparently real memo said that "Fraudulently using someone else's name is not a joke, and any employee found doing so will be immediately terminated."

Meanwhile, Power Computing is reportedly threatening to halt all Mac clone production - at least until this licensing matter gets amicably settled (which I hope is very very soon).

Mac OS 8.0.1 has been made available to seeded developers.
