LAS VEGAS--Want to pump up the volume on your Apple device? Kubxlab's acoustic amplifier lets you do that. The accessory maker showed off its Ampjacket case for the iPhone 5, iPad Mini, and the iPod Touch at CES Unveiled earlier today.

The case works by channeling the audio output from the device so the volume is enhanced. Of course, the case also acts to protect the device from accidental drops. The company claims that Ampjacket doubles the volume on your device. During a short hands-on, the iPhone 5 did seem louder with the Ampjacket, even in a noisy environment. Priced at $34.95, it's available now.

There's also a version for the iPad Mini ($39.95) that's based on the same concept, though the design and the type of material used is slightly different.

Kubxlab told us it's also working on a version for the iPad, and even showed a prototype. However, there's no word on when it will be ready.

The iPhone 5 Ampjacket can be ordered online at Kubxlab's Web site, though we didn't see the other versions for sale yet. The company ships its products worldwide, so if you're interested in boosting the volume of your iDevice, you may want to bookmark that page.
