Cyber Monday shoppers can save a healthy amount of money on a new Kindle Fire tablet.

In a deal good until the end of the day Monday, the 16GB Wi-Fi-only Fire HDX 7 is selling for $179, $50 off the usual price. The same $50 discount applies to the 32GB version, which is selling for $219, and the 64GB model, which is available for $259.

The 16GB Wi-Fi Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch version is on sale for $229, a $40 savings.

Those sale prices mean you'll have to look at special offers and sponsored screen savers that appear on the Kindle Fire's lock screen. You can get rid of those ads, but you'll have to kick in some additional dollars.

Amazon also was offering a $50 discount off the 16GB Kindle Fire HD, but that deal has already sold out.

Holiday shoppers can find other Cyber Monday deals at Amazon's Web site.
