Amazon, Google expand same-day shopping

Need it today? The same-day delivery wars are heating up: Amazon adds more locations and Google offers Barnes & Noble books, just in time for back-to-school shopping.

As the school season starts back up, Amazon and Google are both ready to ship out books and supplies for last-minute shoppers. In this CNET Update, learn about Amazon's same-day delivery, which is now offered in 13 metro areas. And right as Amazon expands its coverage area, Google partners with Barnes & Noble to offer books on its competing service, Google Shopping Express. Instant gratification isn't limited to Amazon and Google: eBay, Walmart, and Target are also in the same-day delivery game.
